[作伙來報報]Henry Stewart Talks－生命科學及生物醫學最權威的演講影片資料庫

回顧2011年秋天，科學殿堂最高榮譽諾貝爾獎的醫學獎頒給了三位免疫學先驅，他們分別以”先天免疫系統作用機制”及”發現樹突細胞和它在後天免疫系統所扮演的角色”而獲獎。這些突破性的研究不僅豐富了我們對免疫系統的知識，也帶領我們了解疾病背後的生理機制是如何進行。

Henry Stewart Talks 出版社從 2004 年創立 The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection 演講影片資料庫，目前已經收錄超過 1,500 部影片，內容涵蓋生物醫學及生命科學領域的重點研究主題。

2009年推出的先天免疫系列 (Innate Immunity)就找來三位未來的諾貝爾獎得主，分別從他們的研究領域切入探討 Innate Immunity 。

• Jules A. Hoffmann："The anti-microbial defense of Drosophila: a paradigm for innate immunity"
• Bruce A. Beutler："Innate immune sensing and response"
• Ralph M. Steinman："Dendritic cells: linking innate to different forms of adaptive immunity

整個系列 (Series) 從 2009年開始，在牛津大學資深學者 Professor Siamon Gordon的編輯下，邀請 Innate Immunity 的專家系統性的介紹該領域重要發現。在 2012 年已經發展出下列 6個次主題，共 43 部演講影片：

4. Modulation of Effector Responses
5. Pathogen-Host Interactions
6. Health and Disease
